The gloves contain azo dyes releasing an excessive amount of the aromatic amines 4-aminobiphenyl (measured value 84 mg/kg) and benzidine (measured value 714 mg/kg). When the product is in direct and prolonged contact with the skin, the aromatic amine may be absorbed by the skin. Aromatic amines can cause cancer, cell mutations and affect reproduction. The product does not comply with the REACH regulation.

According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
