Due to incorrect functioning of the load cell of the occupancy sensor system on the passenger's side, the airbag may not deploy in the event of an accident.

The wiring harness could become damaged where it is in contact with part of the steering column assembly. If this happened, a short circuit may occur. Potential safety-related consequences include deactivation or malfunction of the windscreen wipers, the headlamps, and/or the horn. Engine stalling may also occur.
