Direct access to the saw blade while the cutter is in operation poses an acute danger of injury through the loss of limbs, for example. A similar situation also pertains with regard to access to various other machine parts. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive.
The blades are not adequately protected by the grille. Fingers can be caught between the grille guard and the rotating blade, causing cuts. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
