The transparent plastic contains di-(2-ethylhexyl) phtalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 16.8 % by weight). This phtalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system. Moreover, the transparent plastic also contains 0,73 % by weight short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs). The placing on the market and use of articles containing SCCPs is banned. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bio accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment.

There are accessible gaps between moving parts, which may cause injuries due to entrapment of fingers while folding the scooter. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
