The product contains 10-20% 1-Ethylpyrrolidine-2-on, which is toxic to reproduction, and (R)-p-Mentha-1,8-diene, which is skin irritating, but it lacks the required labelling and warnings. The safety data sheet does not properly state the risks connected with the product, thus users are not sufficiently informed of the dangers of the product. The product does not comply with the REACH regulation and with the Regulation on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP).

The metal body of the mechanism can fracture when under tension (opening over 90 degree angle): this may cause the spring or pieces of metal to be ejected, hitting users and causing injuries. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive.
