The seams of the front, seat-back covers may have been sewn incorrectly in the area of the side airbag. As a consequence, the seams are too close together and sewn too tightly so that, in the event of an accident, it is possible that the side airbag will not be deployed correctly.

Activation of the driver's airbag may cause an abnormal increase in the internal pressure of the gas inflator and, in extreme cases, cause the casing of the gas inflator to break. This means that there is an increased risk of injury for the occupants.

Nickel can cause skin irritation and induce sensitisation or elicit allergic responses, arsenic is carcinogenic and exposure to lead is harmful for human health and can cause developmental neurotoxicity.

The connection between the high-pressure pipe from the fuel rail and the high-pressure pump may loosen. If fuel leaks onto the road as a result, it could increase the risk of accidents for following vehicles.
