A crack could develop in the fuel evaporative emission control unit which is attached to the fuel tank. When the fuel tank is full, fuel could leak from the crack which, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a vehicle fire.

The vehicles may have been manufactured with insufficient shielding between the engine exhaust and rearmost seat close-off panel. This could lead to the seat close-off panel overheating which may pose a fire hazard.

Part of the steering column assembly could fail, which could lead to loss of control of the vehicle.

A defect in the control unit of the occupant restraint system may cause the front airbag and/or the seat belt pre-tensioner to activate unintentionally.

Welded parts of the inflator in each of the curtain shield air bags could have a minute crack. If the crack propagates over time, part of the inflator could separate causing compressed gas to escape. This would result in partial inflation of the curtain shield air bag, and, in limited circumstances, one or both sections of the inflator could enter the interior of the vehicle. If an occupant is present in the vehicle, this could lead to injuries.

The connector between the return fuel pipe and the injector could wear out and could create an improper connection leading to a leakage. The fuel leakage can lead to fire.

The adhesion of the glass cover on the sunroof may be insufficient due to impurities in the area of the adhesive surfaces. The glass cover may consequently fall onto the road while driving, endangering traffic following behind.

An inadequate screw connection may result in the loss of the side panel, endangering following road-users if this side panel falls on the roadway.

The hook in the bonnet safety system may not engage with the safety lock pin of the bonnet lock system. The bonnet may not close properly and may unexpectedly open while driving.

The shaft of the steering column could break leading to a loss of steering control and the risk of an accident.
