Owing to a manufacturing defect, the track rods may break leading to failure of the steering.

A manufacturing error may have resulted in damage to the sealing groove in the front brake caliper cylinder. There may therefore be a leakage of brake fluid, resulting in a failure of the front brakes.

Owing to excess internal pressure, inflation of the driver airbag can cause the inflator to split and release metal fragments which can cause injury to the vehicle passengers.

A chaffed steering wheel wire harness may cause an electrical short circuit and/or unintended deployment of the driver airbag. There is therefore an accident risk.

Owing to the error in the assembly, the reverse assistance of the active engine bonnet could be missing. In the case of a frontal crash releasing the active engine bonnet, it cannot be ruled out that the engine bonnet would be pushed into the windscreen and place the passengers in danger.

The braking distance may lengthen owing to a defect in the electro-hydraulic ABS control unit.

The connection between the backrest and the seat cushion on the rear bench seat may break. If it does so, the seat cushion drops approximately 6-7 cm. In the event of an accident, a person sitting on the seat may slip out from under the seat belt. This increases the potential risk of injury.
