Electric pressure cooker
The pressure cooker can build up a pressure which is too high and it is not sufficiently resistant to deformation. As a result, the lid of the pressure cooker could open and the user could receive burns. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive and the relevant European standard EN 12778. One accident reported.
Fire extinguisher
In case of fire, the fire extinguisher fails to efficiently extinguish the flames and the user could therefore receive burns. The product does not comply with the requirements of Directive 97/23/EC on pressure equipment and with the relevant standard EN 3-7.
Toy scooter
The product poses a risk of choking because small parts (the screw nuts of the wheels) easily detach from the scooter: a child may put the small part in the mouth and choke. In addition, the scooter is not sufficiently stable, causing the child to lose balance and fall. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
Carbon monoxide detector
The product is not sufficiently sensitive with respect to detection of carbon monoxide. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 50291-1.
Plastic toy car
The toy contains small parts (the driver) that detach easily. A small child might put them in the mouth and choke on them. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
Lighting chain
The cable anchorage to the remote control unit does not have sufficient mechanical strength and could break thus exposing live parts. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
Ladder
The feet of the ladder may easily detach. Moreover, the ladder is not sufficiently resistant to load, which may cause it to break. Finally, the tread spacing and the distance between the platform and the knee rail are too small. This may cause the user to fall and suffer injuries. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 131.
Toy scooter
There are accessible gaps between moving parts, which may cause injuries due to entrapment of fingers while folding the scooter. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
Carbon monoxide detector
The product is not sufficiently sensitive with respect to the detection of carbon monoxide. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 50291.
