The power steering return hose clamp may not be correctly attached. Consequently, power steering oil may leak whch could lead to a fire.

A fault in the fuel level sensor can lead to the leaking of fuel and the risk of a fire.

Water ingress in the Electronic Brake Control Module control unit may cause a short-circuit. There is a risk of fire in the vehicle even once the engine has been switched off.

The sealing performance of the gasket seated between the fuel pressure sensor and the engine fuel delivery pipe could degrade over time. If this occurs, fuel could leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a vehicle fire.

The heated washer jets may have jet heating elements which are not correctly sealed. There is a possibility that poor sealing could lead to corrosion due to water ingress and subsequent overheating of the jets which could lead to a fire.

The fuel outlet flange mounted in the fuel tank can crack and leak fuel vapour or liquid fuel. This could lead to a pool of fuel underneath the rear of the vehicle, which in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.

In specific circumstances, a process of galvanic oxidation could be triggered, which could create a small hole in the fuel pipe of one of the burners, resulting in a gas leak. Given that the hole is always downstream of the burner's gas tap, the risk is not present when the appliance is not being used. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Gas Appliances Directive and the relevant European standards EN 498, EN 30-1-1 and EN 437.

There is a risk of a fuel leak via the fuel pump sub harness which could lead to a fire.

The lower cover of the engine compartment could overheat, which could lead to a fire in the area of the diesel particle filter.

Oil may leak from the turbocharger on to hot engine parts which could lead to a fire breaking out, even after the engine has been switched off.
