The live cap of a light bulb is accessible when it is inserted in the lamp holder. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60238.
The product contains azo-dyes releasing the aromatic amines 3,3’-dimethoxybenzidine (measured concentration 224 mg/kg) and benzidine (measured concentration 140 mg/kg). When the product is in direct and prolonged contact with the skin, this aromatic amine may be absorbed by the skin. Aromatic amines can cause cancer, cell mutations and affect reproduction. Moreover, the drawstrings in the hood and in the waist area of the tracksuit may become trapped during various activities of the child, leading to strangulation or injuries.
The blue colour contains aluminium (measured value 26.5 mg/kg) and the red colour contains cobalt (measured value 2629 mg/kg) in excessive amounts. Aluminium is potentially toxic if ingested in particular for children younger than 36 months and cobalt can induce allergic contact dermatitis. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-7.
The amount of Chromium (VI) found in the leather is too high (measured value 24.1 mg/kg). Chromium (VI) is sensitising and may trigger allergic reactions. The product does not comply with the REACH regulation.
Due to a construction/processing error, the screw connection between the anchor ring and rotator can/could loosen when the anchor ring is subjected to a heavy load. A fatal fall therefore cannot be excluded. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment Directive.
There is the possibility to drive a motorized vehicle under the influence of alcohol regardless of whether the alcohol interlock is assembled. Therefore there is a higher possibility for the driver to cause injuries to himself or to others. The product does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard EN 50436-2.
The glue contains 1,2 dichloroethane (measured value: 49%). 1,2 dichloroethane is carcinogenic and toxic if inhaled or if they get in contact with the skin. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation
The amount of chromium (VI) found in the leather is too high (measured value 22.1 mg/kg). Chromium (VI) is sensitising and might trigger allergic reactions. Moreover, it contains azo-dyes releasing the aromatic amine benzidine (measured concentration 39.4 mg/kg). When the product is in direct and prolonged contact with the skin, this aromatic amine may be absorbed by the skin. Aromatic amines can cause cancer, cell mutations and affect reproduction. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
