Welded parts of the inflator in each of the curtain shield air bags could have a minute crack. If the crack propagates over time, part of the inflator could separate causing compressed gas to escape. This would result in partial inflation of the curtain shield air bag, and, in limited circumstances, one or both sections of the inflator could enter the interior of the vehicle. If an occupant is present in the vehicle, this could lead to injuries.

The connector between the return fuel pipe and the injector could wear out and could create an improper connection leading to a leakage. The fuel leakage can lead to fire.

The shaft of the steering column could break leading to a loss of steering control and the risk of an accident.
