Machinery
Meat Flattener
Given its position, the power cable of the machine can be cut and the product is not earthed which could lead to a risk of electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive.
Wedge cutter machine
Direct access to the saw blade while the cutter is in operation poses an acute danger of injury through the loss of limbs, for example. A similar situation also pertains with regard to access to various other machine parts. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive.
Sander
A breakage in the ventilation wheel could lead to small parts being ejected in the direction of the user leading to puncture wounds and further injuries. Moreover, live parts may become accessible, which could cause an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive.
Electric chainsaw
The housing is not strong enough and could break. The user could consequently come into contact with live parts. Not all necessary safety warnings are provided. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60745.
Submersible pump
The cables are not correctly marked. It is thus impossible to assess whether the cable meets the requirements of heavy-duty rubber-insulated cables. There is a risk that the cable is not suited to contact with water and that the user could consequently receive an electric shock on contact with the water. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
Submersible pump
The conductors in the cable are too thin. Overheating of the cable can cause parts of the insulation of the cable to disintegrate and thereby expose live sections of the cable which may be touched. Furthermore, there is a risk that the water pumped out will be under voltage. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
Vehicle lift
The automatic mechanical locking system for the carrying arms has elongated holes and there is consequently a risk that it can disengage. The locking of the system is dependent on a thorough adjustment and tightening which will foreseeably not be done during normal use. If the carrying arms move from the supporting position during use the vehicle can fall and crush the user. One fatal accident reported. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 1493.
Apple grading and packing machine
There is a risk of a person's upper extremities being caught by unprotected rotating shafts during cleaning, maintenance and repair work. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive. One accident reported.
Chainsaw
Insufficient cooling may cause plastic components to become fused, which may lead to burns or to a fire if burning parts get in contact with sawdust.
