The product contains dimethylfumarate (DMF) (measured values: 0.118 mg/kg in the insole and 0.129 mg/kg in the upper). DMF causes skin irritation and is a strong skin sensitizer when in contact with the skin. One case of contact dermatitis reported. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
The green crayon contains aluminium (measured value: 6128 mg/kg) above the permitted levels which is toxic for children if ingested. In addition, the red crayon contains barium. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 71-3.
The steering tube may easily break while a child is riding. This may cause the child to fall and suffer injuries. In addition, the plastic handle ends on the handle bar may detach: in the event of a fall, the absence of the handle ends may cause injuries due to perforation if the child lands on the handlebar. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
The packaging poses a risk for the environment because the PVC material contains cadmium (measured value up to 0.0420% by weight). The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
The feet of the ladder may easily detach. Moreover, the ladder is not sufficiently resistant to load, which may cause it to break. Finally, the tread spacing and the distance between the platform and the knee rail are too small. This may cause the user to fall and suffer injuries. The small decorative stones may easily come off. A small child may put these in the mouth and choke. The product does not comply with the relevant national standard UNE 40902.
The sound level is too high and can consequently cause damage to hearing. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
The functional cords in the neck area, at the back and in the waist area can become trapped, causing strangulation and injuries to children. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14682.
