There is no adequate protection against accidental contact with live parts. A young child could touch the high voltage grid with their finger and get an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.

The plastic material of the head of the doll contains 15.1 % by weight of DEHP. This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system. According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles.
If the flower-shaped ornament and the ribbon are not removed before the candle is lit, these ornaments can catch fire, causing burns to the user and possibly starting a fire.
