LED floodlight
There is nothing to prevent the screw holding the earth wire in place from loosening. If the earth wire became detached, the product would not be earthed. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive.
Hair straightener
The electrical insulation is inadequate: there is access to metal parts separated from live parts by basic insulation which can lead to an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60950 and the relevant national standard BS1363.
Wooden playpen
When opening the gate, gaps are created at the top of the gate and holes exposed at the base of the gate; a child may put its fingers between the moving parts and trap its fingers. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 12227.
Pull-along toy
At the end of the cord to pull the toy there is a small plastic ring attached by a simple knot, which can easily be detached. A small child could put the small ring in the mouth and choke on it. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
Plastic doll
The plastic material of the head of the doll contains 12.8 % by weight of DEHP. This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system. According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles.
Smoke detector
Light
The electrical insulation is not sufficient between the windings of the transformer in the power supply unit. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
Electronic cigarette kit
The battery charger poses a risk of electric shock because the insulation is not sufficient and the clearance /creepage distances between the primary and secondary windings are not sufficient. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60065.
Jewellery kit
The amount of nickel released by the gold coloured clasp is too high (measured value: 1.82 µg/cm2/week). Nickel can cause skin irritation and induce sensitisation or elicit allergic responses. The amount of lead contained by the silver coloured and gold coloured clasps and by the silver coloured snap hook is too high (measured value up to 2.54% by weight). Exposure to lead is harmful for human health. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
