The transparent plastic of the wheels contains di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value 19.35% by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system. Moreover, a wheel can be detached easily, generating small parts. A small child may put it in the mouth and choke. According to the REACH Regulation, DEHP, DBP and BBP phthalates are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
The cross-sectional area of the wires is not sufficient. In case of a short-circuit, the wires may overheat and this could cause a fire. Moreover, the insulation of the plug is made of flammable material.
